Hey Friend, Welcome to The Sunkissed Peach!
I am so glad you stopped by! Let me tell you a little about myself. I am married to an amazing man, Aaron. We have a beautiful daughter, Addie and two spunky cats who think they run our house. I love binging on Netflix, baking cookies, drinking a good cup of coffee and taking walks through Target. I rely heavily on Amazon Prime and my flamingo pink HydroFlask!
I am passionate about good food, good books, and good company. The Sunkissed Peach is a lifestyle blog, dedicated to honest, the vulnerable truth about loving who you are, loving your spouse and child(ren) well! In that order. This year, I am focusing on sharing practical tips and tricks that will serve one of those three relationships. Your relationship with yourself should be your priority. I believe the relationship with your spouse should be your second priority.
If you are like me, you may have had that list out of order. I put Addie first, then Aaron, then everyone else I felt I needed to keep happy. I was dead-last on my priority list. I was depressed. I was anxious. I was unhealthy and bitter. I took that frustration out on Aaron and Addie. I came to the realization in October 2018, that if I did not start taking care of myself and valuing who I was and what I had to offer, that I would not be able to take care of the two most important people in my life. The two people God gave me to love and serve.
Are you like me? Do you struggle with resentment because you are too tired, too over-committed and feel so crappy about yourself that you feel hopeless? Do you feel exhausted from trying to please everyone? Are there relationships that make you feel anxious and bring out the worst in you that you feel obligated staying in?
Friend! I was there. I am still struggling with some of those things. But guess what! You absolutely do not have too! We are not meant to live life alone. Life is meant to be shared with others. We all need a friend, don't we?
I want to connect with you and share life’s joys and struggles.
I hope that my journey inspires you to be vulnerable and connect with others. Do you have a recipe you want me to try? Or a book I should read? Or do you just want to say hello? My inbox is always open and I would love to hear from you! Seriously, here is my email: Send me an email.
